TOMORROW WHEN THE WAR BEGAN SET TO EXPLODE ON ABC3

Ambience Entertainment and the ABC today announce an exciting new TV production of Tomorrow, When The War Began. The 6 x 1 hr TV series will commence pre-production in June.

Adapted from the era-defining novels by John Marsden, this enthralling mini-series tells the story of a group of teenagers, separated from their families following an invasion of their country and thrown into a conflict they never saw coming.

Tomorrow, When The War Began will be produced in Victoria by Ambience Entertainment and is financed by the ABC, Screen Australia, Film Victoria and Ingenious Investments.

Ambience Producer, Michael Boughen (‘Tomorrow, When the War Began’ - feature) said, “The series is designed to resonate with teenagers and families and to be a highly engaging drama, driven by real characters facing realistic challenges.”

More than three million copies later, these are characters we know and love - the dilemmas they face are compelling and have never been more relevant.”

The impressive creative team includes Executive Producers Kim Vecera (Cloudstreet, Tangle) Matthew Street (Academy Award® Nominated The Messenger) and Christopher Mapp (The Bank Job, W),Producer Tony Winley (‘Farscape’), with Brendan Maher (Sisters of War, Return to Nim’s Island) to direct. The writing team is lead by Blake Ayshford with Alice Addison, Justin Monjo and Josh Mapleston.

Casting for Tomorrow, When The War Began is currently underway with Mullinars’ Jane Norris.
